***** NEW GUITARS & A NEW WEBSITE COMING IN 2009****

Hey! Doesn't time fly when your having fun? Here's the latest from R.I.M. Towers...

Had a great time at the Bass Day - met lots of cool people and saw some cool tech. Thanks for all those that came along. It was good to see you and have a chat about stuff... Got some good contacts out of that and some more work as well!

The Hollowman got a ton of interest too...

Ray's bass is going great. Here's some pics of it in progress...

And here's what Mark thinks of his new R.I.M. Bass (Pictures of it are running down the side of the page by the way)...

Not really much I can say at the moment. Not because there isn't much to say, but because I can't find the words!
This is by far and away the nicest bass I have ever played. Everything about it is amazing, the action, the weight, the shape, the pick up placement, the thickness of the body and the neck......... I could go on all day, it is just totally amazing.

I am so amazed at how great it is to play. It sounds amazing, Robbie has really captured the sound I was after, it's not a Glokenklang pre as Robbie was not happy with the sound of that so he has put a EBS pre in, and it's awesome!

I will write a more detailed and more comprehensive report on this when I get back down from cloud 9, but for now all you really need to know is that it plays like a dream, sounds exactly how I wanted it to sound, looks like the bass equivalent of Carmen Electra and Robbie and my wife did all this without me ever going to see him, just called me a couple of times right at the beginning and asked me some questions and then just did it! I cant stop smiling.
Thanks Robbie and Dani (my wife) I don't think you could have made a more perfect bass!

What a nice guy :-) Thanks for the praise Mark!

Also I'm hoping to get the Custom Headless hardware back from ABM for Christophe's Custom 6 string this week!!!!

Catch ya'll soon,

Robbie

So what's been keeping me busy over the last few months? Well apart from doing lots of work on the house, relatives over from Canada, a day job and trying to keep the wife happy... not much! Progess is going great on Craig's 8 string bass tapper (with it's custom made Ali bridge) also Ray's Maple headstock 5 string Marseer and Christophe's 6 string headless custom which will be chrome finnish by Sims Custom Shop!!! Have a look at the pic, it's alienspaceshiptastic!

Cheers!
Robbie
